Chief Equipment Engineer at the National Center for Nanofabrication and Characterization (f/m/d)
Aufgaben:
Improving reliability of the equipment is key so you should be the type of person who likes to get to the root cause of failures and can implement long-term solutions. Your technical knowledge of equipment and installations should be your strength, and you strive to deliver high quality, safe and reliable solutions - also when modifying and adapting equipment to specialized research and development purposes.
Maintaining and repairing nanofabrication tools of high complexity
Troubleshooting/repair of equipment breakdowns
Participate in organizing and prioritizing maintenance and repair tasks
Interfacing with vendors for equipment service repairs/troubleshooting
Documenting breakdowns, repairs and maintenance tasks
Participate in maintaining spare parts inventory
Carrying out machine upgrades
Keep focus on safe working environment
Modifying and altering existing equipment
Assist in designing and conceptualizing novel equipment
Qualifikationen:
You should have a minimum of 3 years engineering education in automation, mechatronics or electronics or related technical field (bachelor's degree or equivalent). We expect that you have a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a broad range of micro/nanofabrication equipment.
Experience and expertise in vacuum systems, pneumatic controls, electronics, and gas systems related to semiconductor/device fabrication or similar field
Knowledge and extensive experience with cleanroom tools and procedures
Knowledge of safety procedures for handling hazardous materials/toxic gasses
Ability to execute complex repairs/maintenance work, carefully following written procedures
Ability to troubleshoot control electronics at board level
