Research Assistant (doctoral student) in a research project on Additive Manufacturing of Composite Materials
Aufgaben:
You will be employed to work independently on a sub-research project in the field of developing new functional composite materials for additive manufacturing. This includes the production of nanoparticles by means of laser ablation in liquids, processing into composites for 3D printing and comprehensive analytics. You will share responsibility for the maintenance of laboratory equipment, take on organizational tasks, regularly attend meetings and exchange information with partners. Further tasks that await you are: Documentation, publication and presentation of scientific research results Creative development and pursuit of new research approaches in the field of materials development
Qualifikationen:
You have successfully completed a university degree in materials science, chemistry or similar, are interested in materials research and would like to gain further qualifications with a doctorate. If you meet the following requirements, we look forward to receiving your application: Very good knowledge in the field of nanomaterials, and a good understanding of materials science First experiences in the realm of additive manufacturing Enthusiasm for working in research and skillful handling of complex systems and equipment Great care, independence and reliability Self-organization skills, ability to work in a team and good communication skills Very good English language skills (oral and written) Very good written expression The following are also desirable: Knowledge of laser material processing and optics Basic understanding in CAD and numerical simulation Basic knowledge in the field of magnetic materials Experience in scanning electron microscopy and associated sample preparation
