Research Assistant (postdoc) in the field of additive manufacturing of metals
Aufgaben:
You will be employed to work independently on research topics in the field of additive manufacturing of powder-based metallic and intermetallic materials. Your work will focus either on material or process development. You will be jointly responsible for the expansion and maintenance of the laboratory equipment, take on organizational tasks, regularly take part in meetings and actively exchange ideas with partners. Other tasks that await you are Documentation, publication and presentation of scientific research results Creative development and pursuit of new research approaches through to the submission of proposals Interdisciplinary collaboration in our international team Participation in teaching (in the amount of 4 LVS)
Qualifikationen:
You have successfully completed a master-s degree as well as a doctorate in materials science, mechanical engineering, physics or similar, are interested in additive manufacturing of metallic materials and would like to gain further qualifications in your postdoc phase. If you meet the following requirements, we look forward to receiving your application: Extensive experience in the field of additive manufacturing of metals (PBF, DED) and/or materials testing (mechanical properties) Very good knowledge of the materials science of metals and a good understanding of physics Enthusiasm for working in research and experience in handling complex systems and equipment High degree of independence, self-motivation, reliability and initiative Self-organization skills, ability to work in a team and good communication skills Very good English language skills (oral and written) Very good written expression The following are also desirable: Experience in submitting applications to national and international funding agencies Scientific publications beyond the topic of the doctoral thesis German language skills
