Underwriter Downstream ­­/­­ Energy (m­­/­­f­­/­­d)*

University degree, preferably in engineering or applied science-related discipline, or a recognised professional qualification in insurance Practical experience as an engineer or ideally experience as an underwriter in direct and/or facultative insurance Competencies in the analysis of wordings/contracts. Basic knowledge of risk assessment and pricing methods would be a plus. Ability to quickly learn other occupancies (e.g. Mining) and follow-up on new or developing technologies Strong negotiation skills and experience negotiating terms and conditions with clients and brokers Strongly pronounced sales orientation with the ability to build sustainable relationships with clients and brokers High degree of responsibility, motivation, decisiveness and self-employment Excellent social skills, ability to coordinate and work with an international team Analytical skills, capability to be innovative and creative Solution-oriented with a focused, proactive, and efficient work style Fluent business English is essential Willingness to travel
